Dahon, the world leader in folding bicycles, will provide free membership to Transportation Alternatives for the first 350 consumers who buy a Dahon folding bike in New York City between June 1 and October 31, 2009.
Transportation Alternatives is New York City’s leading advocacy group for cyclists, pedestrians and pubic transit. New members receive a NYC cycling map, discounts at local bike shops, a subscription to T.A.’s Reclaim magazine, $10 off registration for the NYC Century Bike Tour, and more.
“Dahon was founded on the premise of green mobility more than 25 years ago, and we’ve never stopped pursuing that ideal,” said Joshua Hon, vice president of Dahon. “We hope to help create long-term supporters of T.A., and we are proud to help provide safer places for New Yorkers to ride bicycles.”
Dahon’s more than 25 Manhattan retailers can be found online at www.dahon.com. As one of the first 350 people, consumers simply need to fill out a special card when they purchase a Dahon bike in order to receive their free membership.
Thanks Dahon for setting a leading example for the bike industry that membership to advocacy organizations matter. Momentum has it's own advocacy program that supports advocacy groups in North America, including Transportation Alternatives. Learn more.
